Yes our pigs love food, they especially love pineapple and they love to have a little music while they eat this treat… Well who wouldn’t..

Meet Tilly and Nelly, They are the classic Aussie Mini pigs..

Both were loved pets until they became… well…. Pigs. Then their forever home became not forever and so they came to live in our little sanctuary.

Pigs like to dig, they love to explore and honesty the only thing that keeps them in is electric fences..sometimes. These two girls weigh at least 100 kilos and are still called Mini Pigs.. Could you imagine one of these girls in your back garden?

There are actually breeders out there (who shall remain nameless) that sell “mini pigs” to people in suburban homes. Either one of these girls will have your much loved gardens dug up within the week.

They will happily till your whole lawn to get to the worms underneath. Your whole yard will look like a commercial digger has been through it.

Oh and did I mention they love to bathe in a lovely muddy wallow. That looks great when they come in the house and scratch against your beautiful lounge suite!

We have all heard how intelligent pigs are. And yet these beautiful creatures often end up confined to tiny pens because they can be a little destructive. Of course they don’t think they are. They are just curious, easily bored and always hungry!

Don’t get me wrong they are just the best friends to spend time with if you have the right environment for them. We have 13 of the most delightful “little” 100 kilo friends living on our land with us. And we love them dearly, but we made sure we had everything in place for their arrival and we still had major learning experiences…

Please choose wisely, if you have room and lots of patience, consider giving one of these amazing creatures a forever home. But please make sure they can stay, it breaks their hearts when they have to leave home just for being who they are!
